Marketing Point of Sale: Enter your audience when you have
While the digital world grows and develops on a daily basis, apparently Many Companies, large and small are finding it increasingly difficult to make a personal connection with customers. This is slightly offset by the fact that marketing and advertising opportunities are presented in various ways to new technologies and media at a frantic pace.
Let back off a bit. In its hay day, the powerful concept and practice of mass marketing was intended to celebrate the full marketing staff. This, however, is not simply the case. While the hypodermic needle has been an excellent theory, rejected the concept of human interaction that took place at the point of purchase. Viewers, listeners and newspaper readers swallowed the mass media and, consequently, have been strongly influenced in regard to purchasing decisions. This influence, however, it was in my opinion the definitive influence. The final impact occurred at the point of sale.
Consider this example. A housewife and her son heard a Cheerios commercial during the Lone Ranger. The next day, the housewife decides to pick up a box of Cheerios at the store to buy ingredients for dinner. Your grocery store 10 years, however, said that her child will probably enjoy most of the Rice Krispies Cheerios distinct because of the good that Rice Krispies, when milk is poured the top. For Following the suggestion, the housewife makes Cheerios on the shelf and instead follows the advice of his trusted shopkeeper and time.
Fast Forward until today. With the introduction of big box stores, concessions, overtime, this retail outlet and connecting influence has virtually disappeared. This can have been regarded as a good thing for the sellers of the mass, but the power of the media has also declined. Despite our best efforts and more creative power of the media has not yet been duplicated. This means that, as specialists in marketing, we need the media masses, no obvious point of initial contact.
Fortunately, although the era of mass marketing has disappeared and we were forced to look elsewhere to achieve results, a gem of an opportunity presented itself. Thanks to the Internet, media and new digital technologies that vendors have many avenues to try alternatives, and use of the majority. And explore, test and use, we have, especially at this time of the sales period elusive. Thanks to digital signage systems, newsletters electronics, and more recently, selective dissemination, we have come to dominate the power supply.
Now we have the potential to attract a captive audience, just at the time of purchase. This is particularly important when one considers that almost two thirds of all buying decisions are based on the decisions of the drives. We are a group clever marketing and adaptation. We have dealt with the loss of power of mass marketing focusing not only on new technologies and resources, but also focuses on other points of temporary purchase decision.
